Queen Sitara and her allies, including her lover Lyser and the enigmatic Dark Mage Raze, have survived the carnage in the Court of Thorns. But escape is only the first step. With the mad queen Acanthe rampaging across Inara and a mysterious illness befalling members of her party, Sitara must return home as quickly as possible to find the necessary spells to save her world.
